Wonders of the World Great Barrier Reef

Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest collection of coral reefs are composed of approximately 3,000 reefs and 900 islands, which stretches along 2600 km. This reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in northeast Australia. Most areas of this reef including the part that is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park (Great Barrier Reef Marine Park).
Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space and is sometimes referred to as the single largest organism in the world. In fact, it was formed from millions of tiny organisms, known as coral polyps (coral polyp). GBR was chosen as one of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
Its wealth of biodiversity, its waters are warm and clear, and the affordability of a floating facility called live aboards, making these reefs become a very popular tourist destination, especially for scuba divers. Many cities along the Queensland coast which offers tours to the coral sea, every day. Several continental islands have also been changed into the resort.
